TRHN moves patient billing

Tyrone Regional Health Network is in the process of transitioning its patient billing operations from an outsource vendor to an in-hospital operation. An outside company has handled TRHN’s patient billing operations for the past couple of years.

Leaders at TRHN determined that patients, the community and TRHN would be better served if the billing operation was managed in-house. A review of the billing operation and feedback from patients and staff were drivers in the decision.

The move to an in-house billing operation will allow TRHN to manage and have greater control over every aspect of the billing process. Customer service will also be enhanced by giving patients local access to billing staff for questions and to resolve any billing issues.

A transition plan has been developed and is currently being implemented. It will take some weeks to complete the transition.

Patients who have questions or require assistance related to billing may call the billing department between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 684-1255, ext. 6.
