Cambria County Job Fair set

The Cambria County Job Fair will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. May 1 at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in Johnstown.

Admittance is free for job-seekers, who will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with and give resumes to a wide-variety of regional employers.

More than 80 employers attended last year’s event.

Local workforce experts will be available to answer questions and provide information on job-search resources, as well as recruitment information for employers.

JARI starts ‘Expertise Matters’

JARI has launched a new section of its blog called “Expertise Matters,” in which it will invite area experts to write guest posts on topics of interest to other businesses and people thinking about starting a business.

Contributing partners include Prime Design Solutions, HR Consultants Inc., MASSolutions and attorney George Gvozdich.

“Subject matter experts from throughout the region are giving back to young companies in this very special way,” Linda Thomson, JARI president, said in a statement. “This is just one more reason to open a business here.”
