Richard W. Ogden has been appointed executive vice president and director of risk management at Riverview Bank, Clearfield.

Ogden has been with the bank since the start of his financial services career in 1981. In his new role, he will oversee the risk management framework of the bank.

Judith K. Mitchell has been appointed senior vice president, regional executive and director of retail banking at Riverview Bank, Clearfield.

As director of retail banking, Mitchell, who has been with the bank for 30 years, will be responsible for managing the retail banking division of Riverview Bank in order to meet the financial services needs of the bank’s customers.

David “Mike” McKeown has been appointed senior vice president and information technology manager at Riverview Bank in Clearfield.

As IT manager, McKeown, who has been with the bank since 1973, will manage the bank’s information technology department, including technology and network operating systems, to ensure all systems are efficient, effective and compliant.

William A. Shiner has been appointed senior vice president, chief compliance officer and CRA officer at Riverview Bank in Clearfield.

In his new role, Shiner, who has been with the bank since 1977, will be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of regulatory compliance and implementation of the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act investment, lending and service programs.

Joseph P. Kelly Jr. has been appointed vice president and director of small business lending at Riverview Bank in Clearfield.

In his new role, Kelly,who joined the bank in 2014, will develop and manage the bank’s small business lending program with an emphasis on serving the lending needs of small to medium businesses in all of the markets served by Riverview Bank.

Awards and honors

Doug Bayard of Altoona was named a finalist for Texas Roadhouse Managing Partner of the Year award, which is the company’s highest honor. He and 25 other outstanding managing partners were chosen from a pool of nearly 500.

Bayard has been the managing partner of the Altoona location for five years and has been with Texas Roadhouse for 11 years.

Tulay Girard, professor in marketing at Penn State Altoona, re-ceived a Top Paper in Track Award for her co-authored paper, “Internal Services Brand Orientation: Comparing the Perspectives of Managers, Employees and Customers,” at the 2018 Association of Marketing Theory and Practice Conference held in Florida.

At this conference, Girard presented in two panels: “The Recent Trends and Best Practices for Designing Blended/Hybrid/Flipped Courses in Higher Education” and “The Greatest Threat to Marketing Today: A Panel Discussion.”

Retirements

Mike Smith, AccuWeather senior vice president and chief innovation executive, will retire March 31.

Smith’s innovations in delivering advanced warning of severe weather events, including tornadoes, lightning and flash floods and blizzards, have helped AccuWeather save thousands of lives and avert billions of dollars in property damage.
