DABC to meet in March
Downtown Altoona Business Community will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 6 at Penn State Altoona’s LaunchBox, 1331 12th Ave. in the Gable’s building.
David Roth, owner of Mountain City Services LLC, a local professional IT services company, will discuss the process of matching the right technologies to business needs.
Space is limited. Call 943-6022 to reserve a seat. Attendees do not have to be a DABC member.
Food safety training set
Penn State Cooperative Extension will be offering a ServSafe Food Safety Certification Training course from 9 a.m.to 4 p.m. March 19 and from 9 a.m. to noon with the certification exam at 1 p.m. March 26 at the Penn State Extension Meeting Room, Domestic Relations Building, 499 Manor Drive, Ebensburg.
Cost for the two-day certification course is $185.
Elaine Smith, Penn State Extension educator, will be the instructor.

Home & Garden show set
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce and the Blair-Bedford Builders Association will hold their 48th Blair County Home & Garden Show for March 2, 3 and 4 at the Jaffa Shrine Center in Altoona.
Nearly 150 exhibitors will be available to answer any home improvement and gardening questions that attendees may have.
Show hours are 1 to 8 p.m. March 2,
10 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 3 and noon to 4 p.m. March 4.
Admission is $3 for adults and free for children 12 years or younger when accompanied by an adult. Parking is free.
