Joseph P. Ponchione, principal of Ponchione Financial Group Johnstown, has been named a member of the 2017 President’s Council of New York Life Insurance Co.

Members of the President’s Council rank in the top five percent of New York Life’s elite sales force of 12,000 licensed agents in sales achievement.

Steve Antenucci of Theatre in the Round Players, Minneapolis, recently received the 2017 Fliehr Award, a lifetime achievement award, for distinguished service to the Minnesota theatre community by the Minnesota Association of Community Theatres.

Antenucci is a native of Hollidaysburg and is a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and Penn State.

Kathy Himes of Altoona was recently honored by Citizens Financial Group as one of 60 employees who have been with the bank for 25 years.

Citizens recently unveiled specially inscribed bricks with each employees’ name, which will be installed outside Citizens’ headquarters in Providence, R.I. More than 2,000 colleagues have been honored with bricks since the bank started the tradition in 1999.

Dr. Christopher McClellan of University Orthopedics Center was an invited guest on VuMedi to present “Enabling Technology and Wound Care in an Outpatient Setting.”­

VuMedi is a video education platform for more than 200,000 doctors. Doctors use VuMedi to improve patient care and to grow their practice.
