UDNI acquires Flashpoint

United Datacom Networks Inc., a national cloud, voice services and managed service provider, has acquired Flashpoint Informatics Inc. of State College, a leader in desktop as a service solutions, managed cloud services, hosted voice solutions, internet service provider and data center services.

Through this strategic purchase, UDNI is positioned to continue providing technology solutions, while expanding its cloud offering capabilities.

Fire station receives grant

Duaine Detrick Insurance Agency of Portage recently presents a $1,000 Allstate Foundation Grant check to Adams Township Fire Station No. 2 of St. Michael.

Detrick is a volunteer for the fire station.

The Allstate Foundation Agency Hands in the Community Grant Program supports solutions that enhance people’s well-being and prosperity. The Allstate Foundation supports a range of programs across the nation and at the state and local level.

Phone-drying tech available

A technology that can revive liquid damaged devices is now available in Altoona.

Revive Electronics LLC has rolled out its Redux drying technology in more than 900 A Wireless stores, including its Altoona location at 220 W. Plank Road.

A Wireless is the largest independent selling agent for Verizon.

Redux removes moisture from wet cellphones, tablets and wearables, returning most devices to working condition when necessary precautions are taken. The revive process has been successful in recovering devices damaged by toilet water, soapy washing machines, puddles, mud, tomato soup, beer, wine and more.

Redux can also recover liquid-damaged smartwatches, fitness monitors, hearing aids, tablets, Bluetooth headsets and more.
