DUNCANSVILLE

CareerLink sets job fair

PA CareerLink Blair County will host a job fair Oct. 11 at the National Guard Readiness Center, 518 Municipal Drive, Duncansville.

Doors will open for veterans at 9 a.m. and open to the public at 9:30 a.m. The job fair will continue until 12:30 p.m.

Fifty employers will be on hand to discuss full- and part-time positions available with their companies. Job seekers are reminded to bring along copies of their resumes to share with the employers in attendance.

Home prices decrease

Home prices in Altoona, including distressed sales, declined by 2.4 percent in August compared with August 2016, according to CoreLogic, a leading global property information, analytics and data-enabled solutions provider.

On a month-over-month basis, home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 1.2 percent in August compared with July.

Home prices nationally in August increased year over year by 6.9 percent and on a month-over-month basis by 0.9 percent, according to the CoreLogic Home Price Index.

HARRISBURG

Riverview completes merger

Riverview Financial Corp. has completed its merger with CBT Financial Corp. of Clearfield.

The merger will form a community banking franchise with about $1.2 billion of assets and will provide enhanced products and services through 33 banking locations covering 12 Pennsylvania counties.

In the merger, CBT shareholders will receive 2.86 shares of Riverview common stock in exchange for each share of CBT common stock. The combined company will move its corporate headquarters to State College.

Riverview Bank serves Bedford, Berks, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Cumberland, Dauphin, Huntingdon, Lycoming, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Somerset and Westmoreland counties.
