plans Down on the Farm
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce Farm-City Committee will hold its annual Down on the Farm from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at Penn England Farm, 10341 Fox Run Road, Williamsburg.
Down on the Farm features an all-you-can-eat pig roast, hay wagon farm tours and activities for children. Admission is $10 per person. Children 12 and younger are free.

Link Computer sets technology conference
Link Computer Corp. will hold its 20th Annual LinkUp Technology Conference Oct. 11 at the Blair County Convention Center.
LinkUp draws close to 400 attendees each year to this all-day event with industry leading sponsors including Cisco, Dell EMC, IBM, HPE and many more.
This year, LinkUp is partnering with the Magee-Women’s Specialty Center in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. Ten percent of all registration fees will go to support this organization.
The 2017 LinkUp Keynote Speaker will be Earl Carter, threat researcher for Cisco Talos, presenting “A Look into the Evolving Threat Landscape.”

AccuWeather Inc. announced that Federal Signal Corp. has signed a patent licensing agreement to use nine of AccuWeather’s technology patents.
AccuWeather has developed exclusive patented technologies to provide map-based weather alerting and polygon activation technologies through Federal Signal’s CommanderOne platform.
