— Todd Russell, a Hollidaysburg Area School District teacher, recently received an Educational Leader Award for his outstanding community service by the Pennsylvania State Education Association.

Russell teaches chemistry and biology at Hollidaysburg Junior High School, and is the second vice president of the Hollidaysburg Area Education Association. He is also active in the PSEA Cluster Liaison for Cluster II, which includes PSEA local affiliates in Blair County, and as PSEA Central Region PACE Chair.


— Dr. Robert Singer is now accepting new patients at University Orthopedics Center’s Huntingdon office, located in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital.

Singer is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon that strives to stay current with the latest technologies and techniques in the ever-changing world of orthopedic treatment.

— Tom Catalano of Hollidays­burg has written his eighth book.

“Poems for Glory” is a 96-page book of rhyming faith-inspiring poems, which he co-wrote with his daughter, Emma Catalano. He recently retired from Curry Supply to focus his time and passion exclusively on writing novels and poetry.
