SFU gets top ranking

College Choice ranks Saint Francis University one of 2017’s best schools in Pennsylvania, touting the more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs offered. Degrees can be obtained in a variety of ways to best accommodate each student, such as traditionally, adult and continuing studies, and online through the school’s virtual portal.

Saint Francis is frequently ranking on prestigious lists of best colleges, including by U.S. News & World Report, Money magazine and RegisteredNursing.org.

Farm hosts jubilee Sunday

Vale Wood Farms will have its Summertime Jubilee from 11 a.m. to

6 p.m. Sunday at the farms, 517 Vale Wood Road.

Events will kick off with a cow milking contest at noon featuring state Sen. Wayne Langerholc, D-Cambria, and Cambria County Commissioner Tom Chernisky.

All-day events include cow patty bingo, music by Tree from 1 to 4 p.m., hayride farm tours, antique tractors, classic cars, farm-themed games, antique farm equipment in the log cabin farm homestead, ice cream and hot food.

There is free parking and admission, and updates will be posted on the farms’ event page on Facebook.
