New hires and promotions

— Tanya Kindel, a licensed clinical psychologist, has joined Cone­maugh Memorial Medical Center.

Kindel assists Conemaugh’s bariatrics team by providing on-site support for individuals pursuing weight loss surgery options. In addition to bariatrics, Kindel meets with medical oncology patients.

— Christine Gibson has been named vice president for finance and administration at Juniata College, effective June 1.

Gibson, who had served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Wesley College, in Dover, Del., since 2014, will be responsible for the college’s facilities, finances, which include a $84.6 million annual operating budget and a $113.9 million endowment, and human resources.

— Erica Kopera has been named branch manager at the Gallitzin office of PennCrest Bank.

Kopera has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a graduate of the Central Pennsylvania Business College. She was most recently employed as branch manager of S&T Bank, Loretto.

— Mary Beth Page has joined PennCrest Bank as branch manager at the Nanty Glo office of PennCrest Bank.

Page has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and most recently held the position of retail service manager at the Northern Cambria and Carrolltown offices of AmeriServ Financial Bank.

— Peter V. DiSanza has joined the Johnstown office of Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. as an associate financial adviser.

DiSanza provides financial advice that is built on understanding client needs and expectations, and provided in one-on-one relationships with his clients.

— Lisa McDaniels has been named dean of the library at Juniata College, effective July 1.

McDaniels, who has served as assistant director of research and instruction for the Colby College Libraries since 2014, will lead Juniata’s efforts to renovate and expand Beeghly Library and integrate the college’s planned Learning Commons into the operation of the library and other areas.

Awards and honors

The Central Chapter of the Pennsyl­vania Insti­tute of Certified Public Accountants has named new leaders for the 2017-18 fiscal year.

— Thomas W. Orr, a certified public accountant, has been elected president.

Orr, an Altoona resident, is a manager at Young Oakes Brown & Co. PC in Altoona, specializing in audit, accounting and tax.

Other officers are:

— Eugene Miller of Clearfield, owner of Eugene J. Miller CPA in Punxsu­tawney, has been named president-elect.

— Gina N. Brawley, director of finance, specializing in health care finance, at Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown, was named secretary.

— Dwayne M. Ross, a manager with Reilly Crep­page & Co. Inc. in Altoona, was named treasurer.
