JARI sets Lunch & Learn

JOHNSTOWN — JARI will hold its next Lunch & Learn program from noon to 1:15 p.m May 23 at JARI Center, 160 Jari Drive.

Shelley Johansson, communications specialist with Prime Design Solutions, will discuss how to choose the right social media channels, along with the set up process and how to manage multiple channels. Attendees also will learn what to post and how to manage their investment of time.

Gardner Denver gifts stock

NEW YORK — Gardner Denver Holdings Inc. marked its first day of trading on the New York Stock Exchange Friday by announcing more than $100 million in deferred stock unit grants to nearly 6,000 of its employees worldwide.

Gardner Denver Inc. employs about 55 people at its Altoona facility, and this announcement affects the vast majority of Gardner Denver’s Altoona workforce.

Gardner Denver officials announced that in conjunction with the company’s initial public offering, each employee not already part of the company’s equity program — from hourly production to customer service to sales personnel — will receive a significant grant of company stock — equal to 40 percent of their annual base salary.
