Meteorologist Burton to join WTAJ mornings

Former WJAC-TV meteorologist Jim Burton will join “WTAJ News This Morning” starting Monday.

K.C. Kantz, Colleen Nelson and meteorologist Christy Shields will remain with the weekday program, making Burton the show’s second meteorologist, WTAJ-TV Vice President and General Manager Phil Dubrow said in a release.

Burton formerly was a radio personality on WKYE in Johnstown and meteorologist for WJAC-TV in Johnstown from 1998 to 2016.

“We are excited to bring a familiar face back to central Pennsylvania. For years, many people relied on Jim to deliver an accurate forecast and a few laughs in the morning. Jim enjoys participating in many community events, which is very important to WTAJ,” said News Director Chris Miller.
