Nursing program recognized
LORETTO — Saint Francis University nursing program’s 100 percent first-time pass-rate streak during the past three years has earned the university statewide honors.
The nursing program has been named the No. 7 Ranked Nursing Program in Pennsylvania by RegisteredNursing.org.
The organization assessed nursing programs on several factors, which represent how well a program supports students toward licensure and beyond.
Rita Trofino, department chairwoman and associate dean in the School of Health Sciences, said graduates of the SFU Nursing program have had a 100 percent first-time pass rate for the past three graduating classes. It is the only bachelor’s of nursing program in Pennsylvania to have that distinction for the past three consecutive years.
