Greenways grants available

Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission is accepting applications for its Regional Greenways Mini-Grants Program from organizations to create and/or improve regional greenways.

The Southern Alleghenies Greenways and Open Space Network Plan, funded jointly through the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as well as the PennDOT, was completed in 2007. It outlines a series of policies and projects that identify missing linkages within the Southern Alleghenies that are vital to connecting the region’s natural and man-made resources.

Program guidelines, applications, and other supplemental materials are available on the SAPDC website:  www.sapdc.org/gov-non-profit/planning-funding-sources-greenways.
