WPS Solutions recognized

WPS Solutions of Altoona has been recognized by Photizo Group as a leader in managed print services.

WPS Solutions was one of 13 independent providers that Photizo Group selected to participate in the 2014 Leaders Index for MPS Channel Providers.

Speakers set for LinkUp

Link Computer Corp. has announced the kickoff and keynote speakers for LinkUp Expo, to be held Oct. 8 at the Blair County Convention Center.

Varun Mehta, founder and vice president of engineering for Nimble Storage, will kick off the technology conference and present “Advances in Enterprise Data Storage – Why the Customer Will Win Big.”

Keynote speaker will be Florence Huban Suraci of Cisco, who will present “Gaining Altitude in Cloud Computing – Public, Private and Hybrid.”

F.N.B. gets merger approval

F.N.B. Corp. and OBA Financial Services Inc. announced the receipt of all required regulatory clearances for their proposed merger.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has approved the merger of OBA Bank, the bank subsidiary of OBA Financial Service Inc., into First National Bank of Pennsylvania, F.N.B.’s bank subsidiary. The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has granted F.N.B. a waiver of its merger application requirements.

OBA Financial Services shareholders will vote on the proposed merger Aug. 21. The merger is expected to have an effective closing date of Sept. 19.

Gastro group joins J.C. Blair

The physicians and staff of Huntingdon Gastroenterology Associates will join J.C. Blair Medical Services, a PinnacleHealth Affiliate, on Aug. 1. This change will not affect the current physician-patient relationship, and there will be no interruption of any scheduled appointments.

Huntingdon Gastroenterology Associates will remain in its current office on the campus of J.C. Blair Hospital in Huntingdon at 820 Bryan St., Suite 1, and maintain the same phone number at 643-1141. All current staff will be retained, which includes gastroenterologists Keith Waddle and Michael Gaugler, certified physicians’ assistant Tom Sullivan and all nursing and office staff.

Area golf course recognized

The Skytop Mountain Golf Club has been added to the Forelinksters Guide to the Best Golf Courses in America.

Forelinksters, a division of the Golf Channel TV Network, is a comprehensive rating service, which publishes a listing of the top rated golf course destinations in the United States.

Following a 2012 change in ownership and management, the Skytop Mountain Golf Club underwent significant course redesign by the holding company, Matchplay Management Inc.

Superintendent Michael Stine, now in his third season, has implemented a program of continuous improvement, leading major projects and enhanced course maintenance.
