Earth Day recycling drive nets 27 tons of electronics
The Cambria County Solid Waste Authority held an annual open house for electronics recycling on Earth Day, April 22.
During the four-hour collection, residents of Cambria County and the surrounding area dropped off more than 27 tons of TVs, computer systems and other electronic devices.
The authority collects electronics for recycling from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for no charge.
Items accepted for recycling include televisions, computer monitors, hard drives, PC peripherals, stereo systems, DVD and other media players, phones and microwaves.
