Autism treatment center coming to area counties
The Journey Center, an autism treatment center, is coming to Blair, Bedford and Centre counties in June.
The center will provide the following services to families and children on the autism spectrum: ABA therapy, social skills training and speech and language therapy for students ages 2 to 18.
Kimberly Bennett will direct the center. She is a board-certified behavior analyst as well as a speech pathologist.
She and her staff have more than 10 years’ experience working with children on the autism spectrum. This includes both early intervention as well as school-age children. The Journey Center is becoming credentialed with various insurance carriers to assist parents with payment for services.
