Group OKs business loans
Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission’s board recently approved the following business loans:
n $200,000 for Spence R. and Angela C. Barkman, 1727 Upper Snake Spring Road, Everett, to help pay for a $780,000 project to purchase a farm they currently operate.
n $200,000 for Bedford Farm Bureau Cooperative Association, 102 Industrial Ave., Bedford, to help pay for a $850,000 project to construct of a new warehouse and showroom.
n $200,000 for Fabin Brothers Farms LLC, 231 Bethel Church Road, Indiana, to help pay for a $550,000 project to construct of a new grain storage facility in Curryville to be leased from Bedford Farm Bureau.
n $200,000 for Eric M. Harman, L. Henry Harman and Peggy L. Harman, 7228 Diamond Valley Lane, Alexandria, to help pay for a $740,000 project to build a new dairy barn and milk house.
n $200,000 for Douglas and Veronica Smith, 811 Piney Creek Road, Martinsburg, to help pay for a $1 million project to purchase of farm property owned by G. Wayne and Rosalie G. Smith.
n $170,750 for Bad Boyz Bistro LLC, 363 W. Main St., Somerset, to help pay for a $431,500 project to renovate the building and purchase equipment to open a casual dining restaurant similar to its location in Bedford.
n $145,000 for Edwin R. and Delrae D. Sensenig, 205 Tussey Mountain Lane, Saxton, to help pay for a $290,000 project to purchase of a 45-acre farm property to expand their produce business and grow row crops.
n $120,000 for Bee Line Wholesalers Inc., 1833 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., to help pay for a $240,000 project to expand of the company’s walk-in freezer and upgrade its computer operating system.
n $80,000 for Bedford Reinforced Plastics Inc., 2 Corporate Drive, Bedford, to help pay for a $160,000 project to replace a dust collection system.
n $80,000 for Huntingdon Cinema Inc., 717 Washington St., Huntingdon, to help pay for a $297,000 project to purchase and install new digital projection equipment.
