Blair to induct 3 into business hall
Three businesses will comprise the Blair County Chamber of Commerce Business Hall of Fame’s Class of 2013.
The Bellwood-Antis School District, Stuckey Ford and Subaru in Hollidaysburg, and Tom and Joe’s Diner in Altoona will be inducted Oct. 21 during the annual Business Hall of Fame dinner at the Blair County Convention Center.
The Bellwood-Antis School District is extremely proud to be selected for the Blair County Business Hall of Fame, said Superintendent Brian Toth.
“This honor reaffirms that we are having a positive impact on Blair County and on the Bellwood-Antis Community. Such an esteemed recognition from an independent organization is also a validation that our daily vision statement is being implemented, ‘Success is the Only Option,’ Toth said.
Both Stuckey Ford and Subaru and Tom and Joe’s Diner are also honored by their selection.
“We are flattered. It is a pretty nice honor. It will be a fun time,” said Matt Stuckey, president of Stuckey Ford and Subaru.
“It recognizes all of the hard work we have done to keep the business running and operating like it has done for the last 80 years. It is nice have the business acknowledged from the local business community for all of the hard work we have done here,” said George Batrus, Tom and Joe’s owner.
