Kelly Jo Walter and Jarryd Ryan Burkett were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Aug. 25 in an outdoor ceremony at Gillbrook Farms, Warriors Mark.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis Walter Sr. of Altoona and the late Theresa Walter.
The bridegroom is the son of Randy and Sheryl Burkett, Altoona.
Pastor John Collins performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Kyley Longo-McGarvey.
Bridesmaids were Jenna Burkett, Lauryn Johnson, Haley Crabtree and Courtney Baronner.
Flower girls were Layla and Jesalynn Mitchell.
Tyler Mitchell served as best man.
Groomsmen were Tyler Stiffler, Travis Hammaker, Dennis Walter Jr. and Adam Walter.
Ushers were Easton and Everett Barajas.
Ring bearer was Greyson McGarvey.
The reception was held at Gillbrook Farms.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Marzoni’s Brick Oven & Brewing Co., Altoona.
The couple took a wedding trip to Aruba.
They live in Altoona.
Mrs. Burkett is a 2006 graduate of Altoona Area High School; a 2009 graduate of the Penn State University Eberly College of Science with a bachelor of science degree in science and a minor in business and liberal arts; and a 2011 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with an associate in specialized technology degree.
She is a funeral director/embalmer at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata.
Mr. Burkett is a 2008 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2012 graduate of Lock Haven University with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education.
He is employed at Small Tube Products, Duncans-ville.
