Rachel Lawruk, Ryan Beasom

Rachel Lawruk and Ryan Beasom were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Dec. 31 at First United Methodist Church, Hollidaysburg.

The bride is the daughter of Morey and Pam Lawruk of Altoona.

The bridegroom is the son of Charles Beasom of Altoona and Cindy McKibbin of Duncansville.

Pastor John Godissart performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Kirstin Floyd was matron of honor.

Bridesmaides were Macenzie Smith, Mandi Cottle, Casey Salyards, all cousins of the bride and Crystal Price.

John McPhee, uncle of the groom, served as the best man.

Groomsmen were Tyler Kennedy, brother of the groom, Morey Lawruk, brother of the bride, Rob Crossman and Darrel Morris.

The flower girl was Emma Lawruk, niece of the bride

The reception was held at The Casino at Lakemont Park, Altoona.

The rehersal dinner was held at the Blairmont Club, Hollidaysburg.

The couple took a honeymoon to the Bahamas.

The couple live in Altoona.

Mrs. Beasom is a 2005 graduate of Altoona Area School District; a 2009 graduate of Penn State Altoona, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education; and a 2011 graduate of the University of Phoenix with a master’s degree in early childhood education.

She is an early intervention teacher at the Appala-chia Intermediate Unit 08.

Mr. Beasom is a 2007 graduate of Altoona Area School District.

He is a water treatment plant operator at the Altoona Water Authority.
