Laura Dunkle, Danny Grassmyer
Laura Dunkle and Danny Grassmyer were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at First Presbyterian Church, Tyrone.
The bride is the daughter of John and Doris Dunkle of Duncansville.
The bridegroom is the son of Sharon Grassmyer of Tyrone and the late Danny Grassmyer.
The Rev. Mark Liller performed the double ring ceremony.
Walter Yatta was the organist.
Brad Carlisle, cousin of the bride, was reader.
Melanie Benson was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lori Sossong and Kristen Dunkle, sister-in-law of the bride.
Flower girls were Isabella and Peyton Myers, cousins of the groom.
Giancarlo Mendola served as best man.
Groomsmen were Christopher Sweet and Donald Dunkle, brother of bride.
Ushers were Quintan and Tristan Grassmyer, sons of the groom.
Cameron Shaw, cousin of bride, was the ring bearer.
The rehearsal dinner was held at U.S. Hotel Restaurant & Tavern, Hollidaysburg.
The reception was held at The Casino at Lakemont Park, Altoona.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They live in State College.
Mrs. Grassmyer is 2006 graduate of Central High School and a 2011 graduate of Seton Hill University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physician assistant science.
She is a physician assistant at Blair Medical Associates, Altoona.
Mr. Grassmyer is a 1997 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and attended Penn State Altoona.
He is a lieutenant with Pennsylvania Department of Corrections at SCI Benner Township, Bellefonte.
