Sarah Leahey, Alexander Palazzi
Sarah Leahey and Alexander Palazzi were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Aug. 19 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Hollidaysburg.
The bride is the daughter of Brady and Jodi Leahey of Hollidaysburg.
The bridegroom is the son of David Palazzi and Tina Palazzi, both of Altoona
Father Christopher Panagoplos, T.O.R., performed the double-ring ceremony.
Caleb Gildea was the soloist, and Sandy Harteis was the organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Rachael Lockard, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Danielle Barley was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Brianna Palazzi and Caitlyn Palazzi, sisters of the groom; Courteney Storm and Jennah Schmitt, cousins of the bride; Meghan Higgins and Leah Harpel.
Megan Ferris was the flower girl.
Scott Ogden served as best man.
Ushers were Graham Lockard, brother-in-law of the bride; Michael Passanisi; and Christopher Storm and Cory Storm, cousins of the bride
Hudson Lockard, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
The reception was held at the American Legion Social Hall, Hollidaysburg.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Buccinese Club, Altoona.
The couple live in Altoona
Mrs. Palazzi is a 2005 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School; a 2009 graduate of Shippensburg University, with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education; a 2013 graduate of Saint Francis University, Loretto, with a master’s degree in education. She received her reading specialist certification from Saint Francis University in 2015 and her instructional coach certification from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, in 2016.
She is a teacher at Charles W. Longer Elementary School, Hollidaysburg.
Mr. Palazzi is a 2005 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2009 graduate of Lock Haven University with a bachelor of science degree in sport administration.
He is employed at Blue Knob Auto, Duncansville.
