Perfect attendance

Courtesy photo Six sixth-grade students from Glendale Elementary School were awarded new bicycles on May 31 for having perfect attendance for the 2017-18 school year. This is the 10th consecutive year of a cooperative arrangement between the Horace Mann Insurance Co. and the Glendale Education Foundation — who co-sponsor this attendance incentive program for sixth grade students — providing bicycles to any students who miss zero days. Shown are (from left): first row — Connor Potutschnig, Kenneth Fishel, Bryson Davis, Kaprice Cavalet, Caitlyn Jasper and Koltlyn Cavale; second row — Richard W. Snyder II (executive director, Glendale Education Foundation), Tom Stetter (Horace Mann Insurance Co.), Kate Bacher (Glendale Elementary principal) and Ronald Lynch (retiring sixth-grade teacher).
