Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site, Gallitzin, 886-6150

“A Day in the Life: Working on the Allegheny Portage Railroad,” 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. through Sept. 29. Programs vary on a daily basis and may be moved indoors or canceled during inclement weather.

Fort Roberdeau Historic Site and Natural Area, Altoona, 946-0048

Open for tours, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission fees: $5 adults, $4 seniors, $2 children under age 12.

Johnstown Flood National Memorial, St. Michael, 495-4643

“Tales of the Great Flood Ranger Talks,” 1:55 and 2:55 Monday through Thursday, 10:55 a.m. and 2:55 p.m. Friday through Sunday through Sept. 29. Free event, no reservations required.

Journey Around Lake Conemaugh Van Tour, 1 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday through Sept. 29. Tours are free, but reservations are recommended. 886-6170
