The Cesare Battisti Club in Altoona held is 13th annual scholarship banquet on May 20. The Club presented 20 graduating seniors from area high schools a $1,000 scholarship. Beginning in 2007, the Cesare Battisti Club has awarded 218 scholarships totaling $202,500. The keynote speaker was Bernard Glenn Neff, associate professor of English at Mount Aloysius College, Cresson.
