Roaring Spring library announces events

The Roaring Spring Community Library has released the list of activities for June.

The Kickoff to Summer Reading program is at 10:30 a.m. June 10.

Free Computer Class- at 5:30 p.m. June 11 — presenter Tom Robison answers general questions about the ownership and use of personal computers, and explains how to make computer use more enjoyable and understandable. As always, guests can also bring their own computer questions. If guests have a laptop this would be a good class to charge it up and bring it along. No signup is needed; email corporal99

Knitting and Crochet — 6 p.m. Wednesdays — Whether you have been knitting for decades or just days join this welcoming group.

Essential Oils 101 —

6 p.m. June 13 — Join Victoria from Little Rock Natural Remedies as she teaches the basics of Essential Oils.

Cursive Comeback –5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 20 and 27 — Join Miss Cortney as she teaches the loops and swoops of this lost art form. In addition to learning to write cursive, guests will also get the opportunity to put your knowledge to the test by reviewing and analyzing old letters and documents.

Rockin at the Library — June 10 and 24 — Drop-in for rock painting. This is not a structured class but a drop-in do-it-yourself program. There will be a guest rock painter from time to time. The library supply’s the paint and brushes, the guests bring the rocks.

Summer Reading — Every Monday starting June 10 at 10:30 a.m.

Join Miss Cortney and Miss Pauline for story time at 10:30 a.m. June 10 and 17.

Join the library in welcoming Buddy the Dinosaur at 10:30 a.m. June 24.

The Commons Outreach — (all ages) — 6 p.m. every Monday starting June 12. Join Miss Pauline for stories, crafts and giveaways.

Lunch Bunch — June 12, 19 and 26 at 11:15 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Join the library for crafts, activities and giveaways.

Art on the Porch — June 12 and 26 at 12:30 p.m. — Unique arts and crafts with Miss Michelle and Miss Cortney

Art on the Walk — All Day Thursdays — drop in and help turn the sidewalks into a work of art. Chalk is provided

Photos with Miss Abigail — from 4:30 to 6 p.m. June 11, 18 and 24 –Learn all the latest tips, tricks and apps to make photos look amazing. Bring a personal device or use one from the library. This program is open to all ages. Bring the entire family for this fun and informative workshop. Participants 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
