Used book sale

Courtesy photo The Friends of the Altoona Area Public Library will hold its spring used book sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday on the ground floor of the library. There are no Sunday hours. Monday is $5-a-bag day. Friends volunteers getting ready for the sale are (from left): Helen Gorsuch, Leonard Alwine, Mary Shumaker and Alice Balest. The book sale offers very affordable books of all kinds from adult fiction, children’s books, bestsellers to classics, non-fiction such as travel, art, history, home repair, genealogy, health, science, crafts, language and true crime books. The sale also includes puzzles, DVDs, CDs, audio books, patterns, games and more. All money raised benefits the library.
