Bellwood library offers programs this month

BELLWOOD — The Bellwood-Antis Public Library has announced its programs for the remainder of the month.

n Baby Sprouts is the library’s Toddler Time for children ages 18 months to 3 years. Families can join others at 10:30 a.m. every Thursday through May 30 for stories, songs, fingerplays and fun. New families are welcome.

n Get ecological and geological and celebrate Earth Day Lego-style at April Lego Challenge Night at 6 p.m. April 23. Lego Challenge Nights are for kids ages 5 to 15, and are free and open to the public, but caregivers must stay in the building while their children construct.

n A partial screening of the WPSU documentary “American Creed” will be held at 6 p.m. April 25, followed by a discussion of local issues and how they impact a shared sense of American identity. The discussion will be facilitated by William J. White of Penn State Altoona. This program was made possible by Penn State Altoona, the Blair County Library System and WPSU.

n The library’s annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1114 N. Cambria St., Bellwood. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children and can be purchased at the library.
