Matches for MS raises $3,000

The fifth annual Matches for MS Awareness Charity Tennis Tournament took place on June 22, 23 and 24 at the Summit Tennis and Athletic Club in Altoona and Tiger Tennis Center in Hollidaysburg.

The tournament brought together more than 30 sponsors and 70 players from counties across the state.

Participants ranged from 8 and younger to adults.

The tournament raised more than $3,000 this year which amounts to more than $28,000 during the past five years.

The tournament was directed by Shreeman Pericherla, a recent graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School.
