Library to host ‘Revisiting the Founding Era’

HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library will hold three special programs called “Revisiting the Founding Era” — one in January for adult participants, and one in February, especially planned for teenage participants. Plus a March session with details later.

“Revisiting the Founding Era” is sponsored by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History in partnership with the American Library Association.

The January session for adults will be hosted by Karen Morrow, historic site assistant of Fort Roberdeau; she’ll lead the conversation about the Founding Era ideas and themes and how they continue to influence our ideas today.

Glenn Nelson, executive director at Fort Roberdeau, will host the February discussion with the teenage participants, encouraging them to consider how that Founding Era affects their future.

The session for adults will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24; the session for teenagers will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 21.

The March session date and time are yet undetermined.
