Studio on 5th completes competitive dance season

The Studio on 5th Dance Company has completed its third season of competitive dance.

The 2017-18 team consisted of 38 dancers ranging from mini to senior age group. The company traveled to several competitions this past season taking top honors at every one.

They won the 2018 Top Studio Award from Encore DCS, receiving some of the highest scores of the weekend in Johnstown.

he Studio on 5th prides itself in exuding class, quality, creativity and dazzle in every dance number. The company is under the direction of Kaitlyn Hallinan.

A teacher/choreographer for the team, is Paige Nyanko.

The company members attended four regional competitions in Pennsylvania and the surrounding states.

The dancers received three Diamond awards, 7 Extreme Platinum awards and four Platinum Plus medals – these are all near-perfect scores.

The team was awarded six Overall High Scores of the entire competition, three Title Winners with crown/sash, an Overall Best Choreography Award at That’s Entertainment and Extreme Talent, and an Entertainer of the Year Nomination.

Other awards include: 25 First Place Overall High Scores, 86 Platinums, 81 Divisional First Places, 14 Special Judges Awards, and three Photogenic First Places.

The Studio on 5th had 10 dancers asked to participate in an Elite National Dance Team and four team members were awarded scholarships over the course of the season.
