Roaring Spring library sets programs

ROARING SPRING — The Roaring Spring Community Library has announced its activities for September. The library will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day.

Free computer class — 5:30 p.m. Sept. 25. Tom Robison will answer general questions about the ownership and use of personal computers and explain how you can make your computer use more enjoyable and understandable. Take your own computer questions. If you have a laptop, this would be a good class to charge it up and take it along. No signup is needed; email corporal99@msn.com with questions to have them addressed during class time.

Central Allegheny Lyme Disease Support Group — 6 p.m. Sept. 12. If you are struggling with Lyme disease, speaking with others who have the disease can be helpful. Share with people who will understand your Lyme disease story. For more information, contact Brenda Fredrick at chalkylymechick@gmail.com.

Essential Oils — 6 p.m. Sept. 11 with Aroma Touch Massage. One lucky person will win a massage. This session will also include a make-and-take customized blend. There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of materials and roller bottles. RSVP is optional to cjf19@aol.com

Knitting and Crochet Group — 6 p.m. Wednesdays. Whether you have been knitting for decades or just days, join this welcoming group

Growing Peonies — 6 p.m. Sept. 11. Join Penn State Master Gardner Cathy Schwartz as she provides tips and tricks on peony gardening.

Fly Tying — 6 p.m. Sept. 18. Join Jerry Green and learn all about the masterful art of fly tying.

Troop 43009 Girl Scouts of Western PA — Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadets will meet at 6 p.m. Mondays on the lower level of the library.

“Lego My Library” — 4:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays with Miss Cortney. Children ages 6 and older will enjoy fun and interactive Lego building challenges. Sign up is optional.

Library Card Month — September is Library Card Sign Up Month. If you don’t already have a library card, be sure to stop in at the library and sign up. There is no charge to obtain a card.
