Guts and Glory golf outing raises $3,890
ROARING SPRING — Team Guts and Glory held its fourth annual golf outing benefiting the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation on May 5 at Iron Masters Country Club with 70 golfers participating.
The event was presented by Blair Gastroenterology, Five Star Mitsubishi/
Power Sports and Glendale Area Medical Center.
Team Guts and Glory wishes to thank Michael Mauti of the New Orleans Saints; Eric Hecker, executive director of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Western PA/West Virginia Region; Team Guts and Glory committee members, all the players and the sponsors.
This year’s sponsors included Blair Gastroenter-ology, Five Star Mitsubishi, Glendale Area Medical Center, Hoss’s Steak and Sea House, Mainline Pharmacy, Panther Pharmacy, Spanky’s Tavern, Sankertown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7377, UPMC Altoona, Value Specialty Drug, Freedom Excursions by Scully, Craig’s Fencing, State Farm/Veronica Harkins, Lena’s Cafe, Tim’s American Cafe, Dick’s Pharmacy, Warner’s Florist, Sylvan Hills Golf Club, Headline Marketing, Country Club Development, Damin Printing, Furrer Beverage, City Beverage, Inco Beverage, Bob Evans and Texas Roadhouse.
The players enjoyed a lunch provided by the physicians at Blair Gastro and prepared by Island BBQ, Carrolltown.
Team and individual prize winners included:
First place — Steve Pope, John Pastorek, Jeff and John Moschgat.
Second place — Dudley Spencer, Tony Jackowiski, Chris Weaver and Pat Mackin.
Third place — John Whalen, Eric Dotar, Scott Burkey and Steve Karal.
Skills prize winners were Tony Jackowiski, Bill Schenk, John Moschgat, Jack Moschgat and Jeff Hoover.
Next year’s event is scheduled for May 11.
