CPHS reschedules golf ball drop Aug. 26
The Central Pennsylvania Humane Society’s Park Hills Golf Ball Drop will take place at 4 p.m. Aug. 26 at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park, Tipton, in conjunction with the British Antique Car Club’s car show.
The original golf ball drop was to take place on June 3 at Legion Park in Hollidaysburg to wrap up the annual CPHS Paws in the Park event weekend, but rain kept the drop from happening.
As many as 1,500 golf balls will drop over a golf hole from atop the Phoenix Fire Company’s ladder truck. Three lucky golf ball owners will win $1,000, $500 or even $250 should their ball fall in or closest the hole, next closest the hole or the farthest away from the hole.
There is still time to make a $10 donation to the CPHS animals and help by purchasing a golf ball. Anyone who bought a ticket and threw it out need not worry. Your name and phone number is on file.
Golf ball chances can be purchased at the shelter or on the CPHS Facebook page.
