SAMA-Bedford offers Vlogging Class
BEDFORD — The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Bedford is offering a Smartphone Vlogging class for children from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 6, 8 and 10.
Registration is due by Wednesday.
Through the three-day workshop, kids will learn how to make fun videos for YouTube Kids and will gain experience in organizing and executing their own video shoot.
The safe, family-friendly workshop will focus on creative expression through the use of video. Parents or guardians are encouraged to attend the workshop with their children.
Students will need to bring their Android or Apple device (iPad or iPhone with iMovie) and power cable. The class is designed for children ages 7 to 10.
Leading the class is professional videographer Charlie McClanahan of Adapt Creative Company.
Cost for the class is $95 per child. Families with two or three siblings may register for $145 total. SAMA members receive a $10 discount.

Historical society to meet in Everett
EVERETT — The Bloody Run Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Everett Railroad Museum. All interested persons are welcome to attend.
The museum is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday, featuring extensive Everett Community and Railroading history. Admission is free.
“Murder on Main Street” is the topic of the historical exhibit at the Everett Free Library for August. The exhibit was assembled by Barbara Miller for the Bloody Run Historical Society. It can be viewed during regular library hours.
Members of the Everett High School class of 1958 are reminded that reservations are due by Aug. 1 to attend their 60th class reunion on Sept. 8 at Down River Country Club.
