Master gardeners offer series
The Blair County Master Gardeners has announced its spring gardening series.
March 12 — Basic Landscape Design: Tom Ford, extension educator, presents basic principles of design to transform outdoor living space into a garden paradise.
March 19 — Composting: Jim Stratton, master gardener, will cover the basics of home composting. Turn home and yard waste into “black gold” for your garden.
March 26 — Early Spring and Lawn Care Maintenance: Dave Heisler, master gardener, will cover spring and lawn maintenance to have your
lawn looking great and in shape for summer.
All classes are presented at the Altoona Area Public Library Theater at 6 p.m.
Register for all three classes for a fee of $25 at Extension Registration Support at 877-345-0691 and ask for the Blair County Master Gardener Spring Program or register online by creating an account and visiting events for general public at https://extension.psu.edu/programs/master-gardener/counties/blair/events.
Attend one class and pay a fee of $10 per class at the door.
