Local girl crowned outstanding teen

Alivia Jacobs, an 11th-grade student at Bellwood-Antis High School, was crowned Miss Central Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen on Jan. 13.

Alivia competed in four phases of competition, including private interview, lifestyle and fitness in active wear, talent, evening gown/on stage question.

In addition to winning the title, she also received two additional awards: the interview award and spirit award.

In June, Alivia will head to Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh to compete for the title of Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen.

Alvia’s platform is the American Cancer Society — Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, where she has been an active member for the last eight years and has raised $10,000 for the organization.

Her parents are Jim and Lisa Jacobs.
