Patricia Conlon Harshbarger will celebrate her 90th birthday on Sunday at a family dinner with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was born March 11, 1928, in Altoona, the daughter of Richard and Auddress (Pennington) Conlon.
Patricia has three children: Vickie (Dave) Frederick and Mary Pat Behe, both of Altoona, and Tom Harshbarger of Seattle.
She also has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She has four brothers, who are deceased: Jerry, Tom, John and infant Richard Conlon.
Mrs. Harshbarger retired as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone, Altoona.
She also worked as an employment interviewer and unemployment office caseworker in Altoona; she was a teacher’s aide at Washington-Jefferson and Our Lady of Mount Carmel schools in Altoona.
She also was an educator in the Centre and Huntingdon County prison systems.
She was a volunteer director at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, where she also wrote the newsletter.
She is still active in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Mary’s Catholic churches.
She was past officer of the Station Square Tenants Association.
She loved discussing history and genealogy with her brothers and can trace her roots back many generations to Ireland.
She enjoys doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, playing bingo with the Station Square ladies, reading and riding her scooter.
