Hollidaysburg women’s club offers scholarships, grants
HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Hollidaysburg Area Women’s Club is offering academic student scholarships open to any high school senior residing within the Hollidaysburg Area School District.
An arts scholarship and a community service award is also being offered.

For consideration, the completed application for the academic scholarship and the community service awards must be received by April 3.
The applications for the arts scholarship are due April 20. The applications will be reviewed and selected by members of the club’s Education and Arts committees. Winners will be announced in May and presented to the students at their school’s awards ceremony.
Additionally, the club members announced that the application for the club’s grant program is also available on its website and at the Altoona Area Public Library and the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library.
Grants are open to all Blair County 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations. The deadline to apply for a grant is April 30. Grants will be reviewed and recommendations made by the club’s Finance committee in May.
Approval of all grants to be awarded are reviewed and voted on by a majority of the clubwomen. Grants are announced and distributed in June.
All funds supporting the club’s Grant and Scholarship programs are raised at the club’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance, with this year’s event scheduled for Saturday.
