Kiwanis to hold lasagna dinner Sunday

TYRONE — The Kiwanis Club of Northern Blair County will hold a lasagna dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Tyrone Area High School cafeteria.

Dinners will include lasagna, meatballs, salad, beverage and dessert. Tickets are $10 (adult portion).

Proceeds will benefit Tyrone and Bellwood-Antis high school scholarship funds.

Tickets are available at the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce office and Bressler’s Food Mart or from members of the Kiwanis, Tyrone Middle School Builders Club and Bellwood-Antis High School Key Club.

Fundraiser finale is pie-throwing

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Little Rock Natural Remedies, 8495 Woodbury Pike, has been holding a six-weekend fundraising event to benefit Through, Inc. and The Door.

The last event is the “Pie in the Face,” to be held Saturday.

Those lining up to be hit with a “pie” are Little Rock staff members Victoria Deavor, Lori Bagley, DeAnna Hunter and Sierra Rosamilia, as well as “The Ladies” from Real Talk Radio, Garrison Bailey, Hailey Barger and Theressa Morris at 10 a.m.

At 11 a.m., patrons can throw a “pie” at Butch Gairth from Floors by Butch, Elmer Bagley from Nick’s Alternator, Dave Cadle from Through Inc., Dave Taylor from The Door, Dave Brumbaugh (Little Rock volunteer) and Sen. John H. Eichelberger Jr.

The silent auction will end at noon, and names from the basket raffle will be picked at 1 p.m.

Basket bingo to aid Morden Foundation

On March 9, a basket bingo with multiple vendors will help the Brian Morden Foundation raise funds to support pediatric cancer research and local children with cancer.

The event will be held March 9 at the U.S. Hotel Restaurant & Tavern, 401 S. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg. The doors will open at 6 p.m.

At the event, donations for holiday Brian Baskets will also be welcome and appreciated.

Tickets for basket bingo are $15 per person (includes two slices pizza, unlimited soft drinks, four bingo cards and one door prize ticket).

An extra door prize ticket will be given for each item donated for the Brian Baskets project. Acceptable donations include holiday-specific crafts and other crafts, crayons, colored pencils, activity books, books, Sheetz or Martin’s gas cards, stationary and stamps.

Vendors will include Magnolia and Vine, Tupper-ware and Pastries.
