Blue Knob resort to support THON

Blue Knob All Seasons Resort will support Penn State THON on Friday.

From each full-price day or twilight session lift ticket sold that day, the resort will donate $2 to THON.

Day session tickets allow the holder to ski or snowboard from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and the twilight session is from 1 p.m. until Friday night’s 10 p.m. closing time.

Live entertainment will be provided in the Summit Lodge from 4 to 7 p.m. by Randy Myer.

Season-pass holders and others not buying lift tickets can help out by donating to the canisters throughout the Summit Lodge.

The Penn State Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, engaging more than 15,000 students in the fight against childhood cancer. These efforts culminate every February in a 46-hour, no sitting, no sleeping, dance marathon.

THON’s sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds, not only covers treatment costs for pediatric cancer patients at Penn State Children’s Hospital, but Four Diamonds also benefits children everywhere by supporting cutting-edge research to find improved treatments and a cure.

Blue Knob All Seasons Resort operates in cooperation with DCNR and Blue Knob State Park.
