A golf marathon was held on Oct. 7 at Park Hills Country Club, Altoona, as a fundraiser for the Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School golf team.

Head golf coach Tyler Vincent (who is also Park Hills’ head golf pro), assistant coach Brett Miller, along with Park Hills’ Michael Fiore Jr. and Dave Eliot played a total 100 holes each, starting at daybreak and finishing by mid-afternoon.

Sponsors pledged donations based on total holes played and total birdies.

Vincent led all golfers with a total of 34 birdies for the 100 holes played.

The event raised just more than $3,000. The funds will be used to purchase team bags, jackets and other gear for the BG Marauders golf squad.
