Park programs

Greenwood Furnace State Park, 15795 Greenwood Road, Huntingdon, 667-1800

Holiday Open House, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, visitor center. Craft displays, Victorian Santa Claus, the heritage of toys and games and a newly restored charcoal wagon on display. All activities and crafts are free. Cookies and hot spiced apple cider will be available.

Prince Gallitzin State Park, Patton, 674-1005

Nature Story Time, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, meet in the lower level of the park office. Children will enjoy a story, participate in a game, activity or demonstration and make a fun craft to take home. This program is designed for children ages 3-6, but all are welcome.

ID That Bird!, 1:30 p.m. Saturday, meet in the lower level of the park office. Some binoculars will be available or take your own. This indoor/outdoor program is best suited for older children and adults. Please dress for the weather.

Feeder Watching, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, meet on the park office viewing deck. Some binoculars will be available or take your own. Please dress appropriately for the outdoor weather.

Park programs will be published on Page D2 Wednes-days. State parks and recreation areas that wish to be included should fax their programs to 946-7540 by noon the preceding Friday.
