‘Understanding Addiction’ training set

Blair Drug and Alcohol Partnerships is providing a free one-hour training for any community member.

“Understanding Addiction” will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at Blair Drug and Alcohol Partnerships, 3001 Fairway Drive, Suite D, Altoona.

Christmas Home Tour changes made

BEDFORD — The Christmas Home Tour in Bedford has changed its ticket locations.

Tickets for the Bedford County Garden Club Christmas Home Tour will be available at the Bedford County Tourist Bureau, Juli’s Wearable Arts and the Golden Eagle Inn in Bedford.

In Everett, they are at Lower’s Pharmacy and Life’s a Garden.

Tickets are $12 until Thanksgiving, when the price goes to $14.

The tour is scheduled for Dec. 2 and 3 in Bedford.

KB and The Crew to perform Saturday

PLEASANTVILLE — The Alum Bank Community Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary will host KB and The Crew from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the fire hall.

Admission is $5 per person. The kitchen will open at 5:30 p.m.

The event is held in a smoke- and alcohol-free atmosphere.

Stuckey to sponsor blood drive Nov. 27

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Stuckey Ford & Subaru is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at 500 Broad St.

Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment by visiting www.RedCrossBlood.org and reminded to take their blood donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification.

All donors will receive a complimentary lunch from Salsa’s Food Truck — The Taco Man.
