Blair Senior Services part of expo
The Blair Senior Services will be set up at the Logan Valley Mall during the Health Resolutions Expo 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
Representatives from the Foster Grandparent/Senior Companion Programs, Senior Centers and Meals on Wheels will be there with information on the programs. Sign up for a chance to win a door prize.
Women’s club open house is Sunday
The Women’s Club of Altoona invites all local women to attend a membership open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at its clubhouse at 3400 Crescent Road, Altoona.
This is an opportunity to visit the historic property, meet club members and learn about the club’s numerous community outreach projects.

Contra dance slated for Nov. 17
STATE COLLEGE — The Central Pennsylvania Country Dance Association will sponsor a contra dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at the State College Friends School, 1900 University Drive.
The dance will include live music. No partner or experience is necessary. All dances will be taught.
Greg Frock will call the dances to music by the Contra Rebels.

J.C. Blair sets breakfast meeting
HUNTINGDON — The J.C. Blair Health System Inc. will hold its 2017 Annual Community Meeting at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 15 in the J.C. Blair Education Center, 860 Bryan St., on the hospital’s campus.
Hospital leadership will share highlights of the past fiscal year and plans for the future.
In addition, officials from the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health will present an award to J.C. Blair for its integrated behavioral health program, The H.O.P.E. Project, Healthier Outcomes Physically and Mentally.

Christmas craft, vendor fair is Nov. 19
The “Ignitors of Hope” Relay For Life Team will host a Christmas craft and vendor show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Pinecroft Firehall, 2134 Old Sixth Avenue Road, Altoona. Admission is free.
Book making workshop set for Nov. 15
HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Hollidaysburg Area Arts Council is offering a book making adult workshop with Ann Bickel from 9:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 15 at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library.
