Tyrone-Snyder Public Library sets upcoming activities

TYRONE — Tyrone-Snyder Public Library has announced its upcoming activities.

5 p.m. Thursday — Procaftinators meet every second Thursday for inspiration, fellowship and the chance to spread out to do crafts. Take your own project.

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday — Read an e-Book Day. Be a part of the festivities by checking out your favorite

e-book by going to https://altoonadistrictlibraries.overdrive.com.

Noon to 7 p.m. Sept. 19 — Joybeans Day. The library will have free coffee, tea and homemade cookies all day as a tribute to the late Wendy Boytim’s Joybeans coffee shop. Joybeans days are made possible by the Tyrone Women’s Club.

5:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 21 — “Essen-tial Oils: Oils for Sleep” will be presented by Carol Scarbro of the Allegheny Essential Oils Club. She explain how essential oils can be used to remedy troubles falling or staying asleep. Registration is required by messaging the library on Facebook or by calling 684-1133.

Noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 23 — Lego Club. This month’s theme is robots. Builders should design and build a robot out of Legos. Lego Enthusiasts ages 6 to 13 can join for an afternoon of nonstop building. This program is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. Caregivers must stay in the library.

10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays from Oct. 2 to Dec. 11 — Story Hour will be held for ages 3 to 5. It includes stories, games, activities and crafts. Register at the library or call 684-1133. Join the group at any time.

10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays from Oct. 5 to Dec. 14 — Babies Boogie, for ages 18 months to 3 years old, includes songs, stories, finger plays, sensory activities, free play and fun. No registration is required, and drop-ins are welcome.
