Nine Blair County 4-H members attended regional 4-H camp held at Camp Kanesatake in Spruce Creek June 26 to 29.

They participated in workshops in outdoor cooking, invasive species and leathercraft and enjoyed activities such as zip-lining, swimming, air rifle, fishing and rock climbing.

This year’s camp theme was “Every Summer Has A Story,” and each 4-H member made many memories to include in the story of their summer.

“Blair County was very well represented at 4-H Camp Kanesatake this year,” said Kristy Bigelow, Blair County 4-H program assistant, “We had a great group of kids, including one counselor as well as a CAT (Counselor At Training). We’re hoping to have an even greater turnout from Blair County next year.”

Events like 4-H Camp and many other local, regional and state opportunities are available to all 4-H members in Blair County.
