JABA Paranormal to tour museum
JABA Paranormal is offering the chance to go on a paranormal investigation inside the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum with the JABA team on Sept. 29.
The cost is $40 per person with limited spots available to give participants a true paranormal investigation experience.
All money donated goes to benefit the museum.

Bedford Memorial offers screenings
SAXTON — UPMC Bedford Memorial will offer reduced-cost blood screenings from 7 to 10 a.m. July 13 at UPMC Saxton Family Practice, 1709 Norris St.
Health screenings consist of a series of 28 tests, including cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Results are available the next day and can be sent to primary care physicians.
For accurate results, patients must fast for 12 hours and not drink alcohol for 24 hours prior to screening.
The cost for the blood screening is $25. Additional tests available for a reduced-cost: urine microalbumin testing for kidney function in people with diabetes, $5; urinalysis, $3; TSH to check thyroid function, $5; A1C to test for diabetic compliance, $5; and PSA for prostate cancer, $10.
Test results can be sent directly to the patient for $3. Payment will be accepted by cash or check only. Testing fees cannot be submitted for insurance reimbursement.

CLP to host ‘Belle of the Ball Tea Party’
EBENSBURG — Cresson Lake Playhouse invites all mothers, grandmothers, aunts and daughters to its “Mrs. Pott’s Belle of the Ball Tea Party.”
The tea party event will be held July 22 at the Noon-Collins Inn at 114 E. High St. The tea party will be held in two sessions: 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.
The CLP cast of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” will be in attendance and will include iconic characters such as Belle, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere, Cogsworth and the Beast.
Light refreshments will be served, the cast of “Beauty and the Beast” will perform, door prizes will be raffled off and participants will complete a craft.
Door prize raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the tea party and an American Girl doll will be raffled off in each session. Doll clothing/accessory vendors, as well as jewelry vendors, will also be present. Children are encouraged to dress like their favorite princess and take their American Girl doll or favorite stuffed animal or doll to the tea party. Hair stylists will be available to style their doll’s hair.
Space is very limited. Reservations can be made by calling CLP at 472-4333. Payment must be made at the time of the reservation and all sales are final. Costs are $30 for a mother and daughter and $15 for each additional child or adult. All proceeds benefit Cresson Lake Playhouse.
